Radioactive/Biological Decay

This feature is used to model radioactive or biological decay of the contaminant species. The decay can take place in the source, the deposit, or the base. First order (exponential) decay is used for both radioactive and biological decay, eg.

c(t) = c(0) e- l* t

where,

	c(t) = concentration at time t,
	c(0) = initial concentration,
	 l = decay constant = .693147/half life.

To add or edit radioactive or biological decay for a model select the Radioactive/Biological Decay menu item from the Special Features menu. The Radioactive/Biological Decay form will be displayed. This form has two tabs, one for entering the decay settings and the other the depth ranges.
