LapPilePro is a thorough finite element based software
for the design/analysis of shoring systems using a single input/output
screen for the quick visualization of the effect of input data variations on the
response of the shoring system.
Prepared in accordance with Eurocode 7 & 8, DIN, NAVFAC,
FHWA, Reese, Van Impe, Bowles, Das, Thomlinson. It is a well documented
software, including a user's and a technical manual, and thoroughly
validated using actual field cases, and step by step hand calculations.

Features
LatPilePro is a Finite Element based program that blends robustness to
flexibility, practicality,
ease of use and friendliness. Hopping between various screens to chase an
answer
have been eliminated in favour of a single input/output screen. It offers the
following main
features:
- Single Input / output screen for quick visualization the effect of input
data variations on
the response of the shoring system.
- Variable pile spacing and Variable pile / wall section inertia.
- Spaced piles or continuous shoring systems
(secant piles, diaphragm walls ...)
- Sloping terrain in front or behind the pile.
- Braced and Anchored systems.
- Multiple choices for the surcharges (e.g. uniform, point, line)
- Up to 16 support levels and 8 soil layers may be analyzed
- Variable anchors' spacing and inclination.
- Computer Generated or User choice of soil-grout friction (Fs) &
modulus of subgrade reaction (Ks).
- Automatic calculation for the anchors grouted lengths.
- Ability to input concentrated loads and Moments at any level.
- Staged construction is as simple as a click of a mouse. The program can
generate the construction stages on its own or the user may override this
feature and enters his/her own. The results are displayed to the screen
with the overall envelope drawn in red with the maximum reactions & other
relevant values already picked out and displayed. The user does not have
to search through lengthy output to find these maximums.
- Ability to specify a perched water table behind and/or in the front of the
retaining system. This feature may be used also to simulate the presence
of a tension crack filled with water.
- Select one out of seven soil pressure diagrams including the conventional
triangular distribution which is calculated automatically by the program for
a multitude of soil layers.
- Ability to force a minimum pressure on the soil pressure diagrams that are
in tension which were normally taken
a zero within the tension zone.
- Select between the Rankine (default) and Coulomb's coefficients.
- Simulate seismic conditions
- Nice graphical display on the Main Page that includes all of the output
data including the anchors and their lengths.
- The user may read the detailed data numerically on the screen or by
tracing the mouse over the output curves.
- Print the screen for a concise output report or print a formatted &
detailed report with a simple click of a button.
Online help which pretty much replaces the need for the user’s manual.
