Bitumen content (%) = 100 * [(W1 - W2) - (W3 + W4)] / (W1 - W2)

 

where,

W1        = Mass of specimen

W2        = Mass of water and specimen

W3        = Mass of extracted mineral aggregate

W4        = Mass of mineral matter in extract
