Load

 

P = (R - Corr) * C

 

where,

P        = Load

R        = Dial reading

Corr        = Proving ring correction

C        = Proving ring constant

 

 

Stress

 

σ = P / A

 

where,

σ        = Stress

A        = Piston area

 

 

California Bearing Ratio

 

CBR = 100 * σc / σs

 

where,

σc        = Corrected stress

σs        = Standard stress
