The following calculations are used in this test:

 

R = 100 - [100 / (2.5 / D) * (C / Ph - 1) + 1]

 

where,

R        = R-Value

D        = Number of turns

Ph        = Horizontal pressure

C        = 160 if pressure in psi and 1100 if pressure in kPa
