The position of the labels on the contour lines can be moved by selecting Edit > Contour Labels, Popup > Contour Labels or clicking on the Contour Labels button on the toolbar. All of the contour labels will be highlighted in red. To move a label select it on the contour line and slide it along the line. After the labels have been moved click on the Contour Labels button again.
